Soccer Recap: Berkeley Victorious

Berkeley won the last time they faced Amador Valley and things went their way on Saturday too. The Berkeley Yellowjackets came out on top in a nail-biter against the Amador Valley Dons, sneaking past 2-1. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Dons are ranked 643rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Zolly Corrigan was the driving force of Berkeley's attack as he scored both of Berkeley's goals, bringing his season total up to four goals.

The victory made it two in a row for Berkeley and bumps their season record up to 7-3-1. As for Amador Valley, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5-3 record this season.
