Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Arvin

Arvin never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the Delano Tigers 8-0. Considering the Bears have won three matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Roy Rosales was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single hit, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing Four bases. while going 4-for-4. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.4 stolen bases per game.

In other batting news, Jaime Pantoja was excellent, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Daniel Ramirez also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

The win (which was Arvin's fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 6 runs. As for Delano, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Arvin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 13-2 loss against Ridgeview on the 12th. As for Delano, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-3 victory against Summit Charter Collegiate Academy on the 12th.
