Basketball Recap: Phoenix Country Day's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak at Home

Phoenix Country Day entered their matchup against Rancho Solano Prep on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Phoenix Country Day Eagles fell just short of the Rancho Solano Prep Mustangs by a score of 50-47. The Eagles lost against the Mustangs in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 59-33 score last time.

Phoenix Country Day's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-2. As for Rancho Solano Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Phoenix Country Day Eagles face off against the Veritas Prep Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rancho Solano Prep, they will face off against Valley Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 20th.
