Baseball Recap: Michigan Lutheran Seminary's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

Michigan Lutheran Seminary fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Valley Lutheran on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (5-4), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The match marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Noah Reif was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Reif was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

In other batting news, Simeon Kober was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Eli Lewis was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

The loss snapped Michigan Lutheran Seminary's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record. As for Valley Lutheran, their record is now 4-1.
