Volleyball Recap: Caldwell Academy Victorious

Caldwell Academy proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Hickory Christian Academy Knights 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Caldwell Academy was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-18, 20-25, 25-9, 15-8.

Stella Streng was nothing short of spectacular: she had 18 digs. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September of 2024.

Caldwell Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Caldwell Academy will take on The Burlington School at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hickory Christian Academy, they will square off against Gaston Day at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
