Lafayette came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Bourbon County Colonels by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Generals, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Audrey Gossett paced Lafayette's offense, picking up seven kills. Gossett got some help from Elise Trimble and her 11 assists. Trimble also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Payton Watts, racking up two apiece.

Lafayette's win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Coming up, Lafayette's homestand will continue as they prepare to take on DuPont Manual at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bourbon County, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Frankfort at 7:30 p.m. on the 12th.
