Mountainside suffers third straight loss on the road

The Mountainside Wolves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 54-27 loss at the hands of Glendale Prep Academy. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mountainside in their matchups with Glendale Prep Academy: they've now lost three in a row.

Glendale Prep Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daniel Andersen led the charge by scoring 12 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Andersen has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Chase Fredrickson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with three steals and two blocks.

Mountainside bumped their record down to 1-6 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Glendale Prep Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountainside will take on Northland Prep Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Glendale Prep Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Highland Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Highland Prep is ranked 148th, while Glendale Prep Academy is ranked 167th).
