Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 156th, while the Blue Lions are ranked 470th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

McClain pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.6 points per game. As for Washington, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
