Volleyball Recap: Milton Eagles vs. Westminster Wildcats
Milton lost against Westminster back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Macurdy Harden paced Milton's offense, picking up four kills. Harden got some help from Abigail Mowbray and her six assists. Jenna Meador controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Westminster's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sophia Bonadies, who had eight digs and two aces. That's the most aces Bonadies has posted since back in October of 2024.
Milton's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Westminster, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
Milton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against North Forsyth on the 12th. As for Westminster, they will face off against Brookwood at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Broncos will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
