Basketball Recap: Syracuse Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lakin, Syracuse was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They took down the Weskan Coyotes 63-49. The Bulldogs pushed the score to 50-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Coyotes cut but never quite recovered from.

Despite the defeat, Weskan had strong showings from Trey Allen, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 16 rebounds, and Karsyn Wright, who posted 18 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Allen has been hot for a while, having posted 17 or more points the last 29 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Aldridge, who earned two points and nine rebounds.

Syracuse's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Weskan, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-1.

Syracuse will face off against Southwestern Heights at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Weskan, they will challenge Logan on Friday. Weskan is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67 points per game this season.
