Baseball Recap: Hartford Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Hartford kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Kettle Moraine Lutheran Chargers by a score of 11-10. The Orioles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Kaiden Romens made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5. Another player making a difference was Brady Helms, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Kettle Moraine Lutheran now has a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Hartford will be playing in front of their home fans against Arrowhead at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, they will venture away from home to face off against Port Washington at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
