Basketball Recap: Jack Hunter's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Sioux County over Crawford

Sioux County lost against Crawford back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Sioux County Warriors took a 52-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crawford Rams. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sioux County lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jack Hunter, who posted 12 points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Logan Monroe, who earned 11 points and eight boards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crawford to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abisai Munoz-Salazar, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 15 rebounds. Those 11 points gave Munoz-Salazar a new career-high. Taylor Homan was another key player, putting up 19 points and three steals.

Sioux County's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Crawford, their record now sits at 8-12.

Sioux County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crawford, they have already played their next contest, a 48-46 defeat against Hemingford on the 21st.
