Alief Taylor had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They had just enough and edged out the Klein Forest Eagles 30-27. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 27-16 victory the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Leading Alief Taylor to victory were Hameer Shokunle and Nick Kongolo. Shokunle rushed for 120 yards, while Kongolo rushed for 13 yards and a pair of scores.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alief Taylor will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Cypress Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Klein Forest, they will face off against Humble at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
