Lewis-Palmer skates past Mesa Ridge with ease

The Lewis-Palmer Rangers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They blew past Mesa Ridge 65-36 on the road. That looming 65-36 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Lewis-Palmer yet this season.

Morgan Blakesley had an outrageously good game as she scored 20 points along with seven assists and three steals. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Brooke Lordino, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Mesa Ridge's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kassiah Ducworth, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds, and Bray Pelt who scored 13 points. The game was Pelt's seventh in a row with at least ten points.

Lewis-Palmer pushed their record up to 6-3 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.4 points per game. As for Mesa Ridge, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Lewis-Palmer will head out on the road to face off against Littleton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mesa Ridge will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Coronado at 7:00 p.m. on January 8, 2024.
