Baseball Recap: Potomac School Takes a Loss

Potomac School lost against Maret last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Potomac School Panthers fell just short of the Maret Frogs by a score of 10-9. The Panthers just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row dating back to last season.

Owen Taylormoore and Christian Lam stepped up to the plate in a big way. Taylormoore scored two runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Lam scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Those two runs gave Taylormoore a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Wyatt Pence, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Potomac School's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Maret, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Potomac School will challenge St. Albans at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Maret will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Bloomington at 8:00 a.m. on March 26th.
