Softball Game Preview: North Thurston Rams vs. Mount Tahoma T-Birds

North Thurston is a perfect 4-0 against Mount Tahoma since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Rams will venture away from home to face off against the T-Birds at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

On Tuesday, North Thurston didn't have quite enough to beat Timberline and fell 6-5. That's two games in a row now that the Rams have lost by just one run.

Sara Halterman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Isabella Haagen, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Mount Tahoma came up short against Lakes on Monday, falling 17-1.

North Thurston's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Mount Tahoma, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

North Thurston took their victory against Mount Tahoma when the teams last played back in April of 2016 by a conclusive 9-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
