The Lincoln Christian Crusaders will face off against the Fort Calhoun Pioneers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lincoln Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.

Lincoln Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They blew past St. Paul/Palmer 8-1. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Grant DeHaan made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed six innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Drew Mittan, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Caleb DeWitt was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Fort Calhoun unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of Central City/Centura.

Fort Calhoun's defeat dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Lincoln Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.

Lincoln Christian couldn't quite finish off Fort Calhoun in their previous matchup on Saturday and fell 7-5. Can the Crusaders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
