Preview: Middle Park Panthers vs. Platte Valley Broncos
The Middle Park Panthers will face off against the Platte Valley Broncos at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Middle Park struggled with assists on Saturday (Kent Denver had 1100% more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Middle Park was beaten by Kent Denver 93-26. Middle Park was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-13.
Despite their loss, Middle Park saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jacob Trail, who scored 9 points, was perhaps the best of all.
Meanwhile, Platte Valley pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a hard 78-59 fall against Y.
Despite the loss, Platte Valley had strong showings from Braylon Edstrom, who scored 22 points, and Reagan Edstrom , who scored 20 points. Edstrom scored a full 33.9% of Platte Valley's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
DSST: Green Valley Ranch's victory bumped their season record to 0-0 while Middle Park's defeat dropped theirs to 0-1.
Middle Park came up short against Platte Valley in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 62-51. Can Middle Park avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
