St. Bernard-Elmwood Place wins going away against Lockland

Recap: St. Bernard-Elmwood Place Titans vs. Lockland Panthers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Seven Hills, the St. Bernard-Elmwood Place Titans were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Lockland as St. Bernard-Elmwood Place made off with a 40-19 victory. The team accrued 31 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mary Sales, who scored 7 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Sales has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylah Smith, who scored 5 points along with 12 rebounds.

St. Bernard-Elmwood Place now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lockland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

St. Bernard-Elmwood Place will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Georgetown at 12:00 p.m. Hopefully Georgetown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Thursday. Lockland is on the road again on Saturday and play against Huntington at 12:30 p.m. on December 9th.
