Basketball Game Preview: Georgetown Eagles vs. Chaparral Bobcats

The Georgetown Eagles will square off against the Chaparral Bobcats at 12:10 p.m. on Tuesday.

Georgetown unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a blow against Belton on Saturday, falling 75-47. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Meanwhile, Chaparral had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They took their contest with ease, bagging an 85-46 win over Midway.

Chaparral's win came from a few key players Georgetown will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Curtis Watson-Davis, who went 7-for-11 en route to 18 points and six rebounds. Elijah Treadwell-Harbor was another key player, putting up nine points and five steals.

Chaparral was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They racked up six more assists than Midway's also-impressive total of ten.

Georgetown didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Chaparral in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, but they still walked away with a 49-43 victory.
