Basketball Recap: West Holmes Comes Up Short

West Holmes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 57-35 to the Ashland Arrows. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-24 back in December of 2024.

Leading Ashland to victory were Camryn Cox and Kennedy Lacey. Cox dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 boards, while Lacey went 7 of 12 en route to 18 points and seven rebounds. That's the most boards Cox has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Madison Hoffman, who posted 13 points.

West Holmes' defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Ashland, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.

West Holmes wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 60-29 loss against Strasburg-Franklin on the 25th. Ashland has also already played their next contest, a 63-27 victory against Wooster on the 25th.
