Volleyball Recap: Frontier Falcons vs. Williamsville North Spartans

After a string of seven wins, Frontier's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Williamsville North Spartans. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-23, 13-25, 25-22.

When it comes to explaining why Frontier lost, don't look at Marin Collins. Despite the final result, she had 32 kills, three blocks, and two aces. Collins is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had 14 or more in the last 28 games she's played dating back to last season. Avery Criscione was another key player, getting 40 assists.

Even though they lost, Frontier kept the net locked down and finished the game with 12 blocks. That's the most blocks they've managed all season.

Frontier's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-5. As for Williamsville North, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-6.
