Basketball Recap: Port Allen Takes a Loss

Port Allen suffered their biggest loss since November 26, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the University Lab Cubs, falling 79-59. While losing is never fun, the Pelicans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 166th, while the Cubs are ranked 37th).

Port Allen has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season. As for University Lab, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7.

When Port Allen and University Lab next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Port Allen will try to stop Capitol's four-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, University Lab will square off against St. Michael and their three-game winning streak at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
