Football Recap: Vassar Skates Past Perry with Ease

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Vassar's strategy against Perry on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Vulcans blew the Ramblers out of the water with a 50-20 final score. The Vulcans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 20 points or more this season.

Vassar didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Gaven Kilgore, Madix Gorleski, and Landon Reid picked up one apiece.

Perry lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jacob Adkins, who picked up 134 receiving yards and one score. He didn't just play on offense: he also made five total tackles and defended three passes in addition to snagging an interception. Tyger Whitbeck was another key player, having thrown for 263 yards and two touchdowns.

Vassar's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Perry, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.

As of now, neither Vassar nor the Ramblers have any future games scheduled.
