Basketball Recap: Drew Charter Piles Up the Points Against Chamblee

Drew Charter's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They really took it to the Chamblee Bulldogs for the full four quarters, racking up an 80-31 victory. Drew Charter has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 32 points or more this season.

Anaysa Glover had another great game (as she tends to do), dropping a double-double with 27 points and 14 boards. The game was her fifth in a row with at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Jayce Newman, who posted ten points and three steals.

Drew Charter is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points over those games. As for Chamblee, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Looking ahead, Drew Charter won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lanier Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Chamblee will take on Lakeside in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
