Baseball Game Preview: Brother Martin Crusaders vs. Mandeville Skippers

The Brother Martin Crusaders will challenge the Mandeville Skippers at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Brother Martin is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 12 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Mandeville on Friday. They fell just short of the Skippers by a score of 2-1. The loss was the Crusaders' first of the season.

Brother Martin got a good showing from Drake Amedee, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those no hits gave Amedee a new career-low.

At the plate, Brother Martin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cody Kropp, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. What's more, Kropp also posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

The win got Mandeville back to even at 1-1. As for Brother Martin, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
