Gilmour Academy strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Mayfield Wildcats. The Lancers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Gilmour Academy's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Mayfield, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gilmour Academy will welcome Nordonia at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Mayfield, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against North at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Wildcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
