Softball Recap: Becton Wildcats vs. Lodi Rams

Becton had lost 11 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 0-14 to make it 12. They lost 12-2 to the Lodi Rams. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-9 on April 8th.

As for Lodi, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games.

For Lodi's part, Melody Zuniga made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Zuniga was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
