Baseball Recap: Shadow Mountain Takes a Loss

Shadow Mountain managed to slip by Paradise Valley the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Matadors came up short against the Trojans on Friday, falling 11-4. The Matadors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Shadow Mountain saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andy Chaplick, who scored a run while going 4-for-4.

Shadow Mountain is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10-1. As for Paradise Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shadow Mountain will head out to square off against Goldwater at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Matadors are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Paradise Valley, they will head out on the road to challenge North Canyon at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rattlers have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
