Baseball Recap: Carroll Academy Comes Up Short

Carroll Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 14-2 to the Winston Academy Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, with their most recent defeat being a 13-3 loss on Wednesday.

Carroll Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Winston Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Carroll Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Winston Academy, they will square off against Canton Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Patriots' favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home while the Panthers have been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road.
