Volleyball Recap: Greendale Panthers vs. West Bend East Suns
Greendale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Bend East Suns. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Suns from their previous meeting back in September of 2019.
Sophia Schroeder paced Greendale's offense, picking up nine kills. Schroeder got some help from Cadence Weidel and her 18 assists. Charlotte Campeau and Kayleigh Kowalke kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
Greendale's loss dropped their record down to 5-26. As for West Bend East, they moved to 12-19 with that victory, which also ended their four-match losing streak.
Coincidentally, Greendale and West Bend East will both be playing Racine Case the next time they take the court. The Suns will head out to face the Eagles at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Panthers will play them later in the day, at 1:30 p.m.
