Volleyball Recap: Pocatello Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Pocatello came into Thursday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Minico Spartans with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Thunder, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Pocatello never let Minico on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-22, 25-14.

Abby Lusk paced Pocatello's offense, picking up 23 kills. Lusk got some help from Josie Haymore and her 27 assists. Addison Gregory controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Pocatello's win bumped their record up to 19-13. As for Minico, their loss ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-12.

Looking ahead, Pocatello will challenge Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Minico has already played their next match (against Twin Falls), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
