Basketball Recap: Valiant Cross Academy Snags Sixth Win in Last Eight Games

Valiant Cross Academy won the last time they faced Macon-East Montgomery Academy, and Deshawn Hall did his part to make sure it happened again. The Valiant Cross Academy Warriors strolled past the Macon-East Montgomery Academy Knights with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 58-39 thanks in part to Hall, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Valiant Cross Academy's points.

O'Brian Harris was another key player, putting up eight points and six boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in field goal percentage (67%).

Valiant Cross Academy has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which somehow still isn't as good as their 23-5 record this season. As for Macon-East Montgomery Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-16.

Coming up, Valiant Cross Academy will take on Bessemer Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bessemer Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 67.6 points per game this season. Macon-East Montgomery Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
