Volleyball Recap: Montrose Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

There's no place like home for Montrose, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mountain View Eagles on Thursday. The Meteors were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Eagles, so the Meteors were just returning the favor.

Montrose's got stronger as the match went on, holding Mountain View to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-16, 25-11.

SADIE JONES paced Montrose's offense, picking up eight kills. JONES got some help from GRACIE JONES and her 14 assists. AVA BELL controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Mountain View lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Addison Kilmer, who had seven kills, five digs, and one block. Karley Norton was another key player, getting four aces.

Montrose pushed their record up to 1-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Mountain View, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Montrose is taking a road trip to take on Western Wayne at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mountain View, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against West Scranton on the 6th.
