Soccer Game Preview: Sacred Heart Prep vs. Harker

The Sacred Heart Prep Gators will face off against the Harker Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Harker will be up against a hot Sacred Heart Prep squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Sacred Heart Prep never let Menlo School onto the board and left with a 1-0 win on Friday. The Gators' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matches.

Meanwhile, Harker's game on Monday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell 2-0 to Crystal Springs Uplands. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 649th, while the Gryphons are ranked 232nd).

Sacred Heart Prep's victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Harker, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7.

Sacred Heart Prep took their win against Harker in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 4-0. Does Sacred Heart Prep have another victory up their sleeve, or will Harker turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
