Softball Recap: Lecanto Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Lecanto's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Crystal River Pirates on Thursday. The Panthers have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meetings.

Lecanto's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Crystal River, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.

Looking ahead, Lecanto will take on East Ridge at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. East Ridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season. As for Crystal River, they will square off against Chiefland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Crystal River is facing Chiefland at the right time seeing as Chiefland is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
