Softball Recap: Prattville Christian Academy Panthers vs. Sipsey Valley Bears

Prattville Christian Academy extended their postseason success on Monday against Sipsey Valley. They skirted past the Sipsey Valley Bears 9-7. The win was familiar territory for Prattville Christian Academy who now have three in a row.

Alivia Messick spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Payson Hanson, who went 4-for-4 with a home run, three runs, and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Hollon, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

On Sipsey Valley's side, Kensley Jolly and Keeley Kernop stepped up to the plate in a big way. Jolly scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Kernop scored two runs while going 1-for-2.
