Basketball Game Preview: Hamilton Hawkeyes vs. South Christian Sailors

The Hamilton Hawkeyes will take on the South Christian Sailors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hamilton has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight losses, while South Christian will come in with 12 straight victories.

Last Friday, Hamilton came up short against Holland Christian and fell 41-29. While losing is never fun, the Hawkeyes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 261st, while the Maroons are ranked 21st).

Meanwhile, South Christian beat Wayland 53-42 on Friday.

South Christian's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points over those games. As for Hamilton, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14.

Hamilton won a match that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, slipping by South Christian 56-55. Does Hamilton have another victory up their sleeve, or will South Christian turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
