It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hamilton Southeastern had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took down the Zionsville Eagles 59-40. The victory was just business as usual for the Royals, who after 24 games remain undefeated this season.

Hamilton Southeastern was led to victory by Maya Makalusky and Kennedy Holman. Makalusky dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten boards, while Holman almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten assists. The matchup was Makalusky's eighth in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kayla Brinley, who posted six points.

Zionsville lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Emily Zack, who scored eight points and eight rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mckenzie Chapman, who earned ten points.

Hamilton Southeastern's win bumped their record up to 24-0. As for Zionsville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

Hamilton Southeastern wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 46-38 victory against Westfield on the 8th. Zionsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
