Baseball Recap: Healdton Takes a Loss

Healdton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Waurika Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-3 back in March.

Healdton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Waurika, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Healdton and Waurika will both be playing Bray-Doyle the next time they take the field. The Bulldogs will head out to face the Donkeys at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Eagles will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
