Baseball Recap: Four Straight Road Wins for Corning

While Corning's win against Piggott wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Corning Bobcats skirted past the Piggott Mohawks 6-4. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Mohawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Corning pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Piggott, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Corning will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Hillcrest at 4:30 p.m. As for Piggott, they are taking a road trip to challenge Walnut Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
