Basketball Recap: Eagle River Takes a Loss

Eagle River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They had to suffer through a 67-24 loss at the hands of the Dimond Lynx. The Wolves lost against the Lynx in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 50-32 score last time.

Despite the loss, Eagle River still got an impressive performance from Gabby Palazzini, who posted 18 points in addition to five boards and three blocks. That was a full 75% of Eagle River's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Eagle River's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Dimond, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

Eagle River has already played their next match (against Bettye Davis East Anchorage), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Dimond has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Palmer.
