Basketball Recap: West Carroll Comes Up Short

After flying high against Alden-Hebron last Saturday, West Carroll came back down to earth. The West Carroll Thunder took a blow against the East Dubuque Warriors on Tuesday, falling 75-37. While losing is never fun, the Thunder can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 670th, while the Warriors are ranked 167th).

West Carroll has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for East Dubuque, they pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

West Carroll will head out to take on Orangeville at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for East Dubuque, they will face off against River Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
