Volleyball Recap: Torrance Find Success

Torrance proved they can win big last Friday (they won by three) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves. This was a revenge game for the Tartars: when they faced off against the Wolves two weeks ago, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Torrance took Wiseburn- Da Vinci into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-18, 16-25, 17-25, 15-10.

Torrance is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-12 record this season. This is the second loss in a row for Wiseburn- Da Vinci and nudges their season record down to 9-11.

Coming up, Torrance will head out to take on North at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. North will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Torrance surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wiseburn- Da Vinci, they will welcome Heritage Christian at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Wiseburn- Da Vinci is facing Heritage Christian at the right time seeing as Heritage Christian is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
