Carver skates past Mashpee with ease

Recap: Carver Crusaders vs. Mashpee Falcons

The Carver Crusaders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Mashpee at home to the tune of 71-43. Carver has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Carver got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Josie Helms out in front who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Helms has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jadyn Sotomayor, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.

The victory was the third in a row for Carver, bringing their record for this year to 6-3. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36 points. As for Mashpee, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.

Carver will be playing in front of their home fans against Norwell at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mashpee, they will head out on the road to challenge East Bridgewater at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
