Soccer Game Preview: Whitehall-Yearling vs. Madison Plains

The Whitehall-Yearling Rams will square off against the Madison Plains Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Madison Plains took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Whitehall-Yearling, who comes in off a win.

Whitehall-Yearling headed into their last match having not scored more than one goal for three straight, but West let them put that streak behind them. The Rams' defense stepped up to hand the Cowboys a 4-0 shutout on Monday. The victory was some much needed relief for Whitehall-Yearling as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, Madison Plains came up short against Southeastern Local on Thursday and fell 4-2. Madison Plains have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Madison Plains' loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Whitehall-Yearling, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 3-8-1.

Whitehall-Yearling suffered a grim 10-2 defeat to Madison Plains when the teams last played back in August of 2023. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Rams were down 7-1.
