Basketball Recap: Fort Wayne North Side Takes a Loss

Fort Wayne North Side was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Homestead Spartans, falling 76-35. While losing is never fun, the Legends can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 304th, while the Spartans are ranked third).

When it comes to explaining why Fort Wayne North Side lost, don't look at Kaleah Williams. Despite the final result, she posted 14 points and five steals. Williams is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Jayonna Flotow was another key player, putting up eight points and three blocks.

Fort Wayne North Side's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Homestead, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-2.
