Recap: Colleton County Cougars vs. May River Sharks
Even though the Colleton County Cougars have not done well against the May River Sharks recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Colleton County took down May River 51-37. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Colleton County also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Colleton County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brian Hamilton, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Nick Williams, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Colleton County's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for May River, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8.
Colleton County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Hilton Head Island at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th. Hopefully Colleton County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday. As for May River, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Bluffton at 7:30 p.m. May River is facing Bluffton at the right time seeing as Bluffton is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
