Basketball Recap: Merryville Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Merryville duked it out withOberlin on Thursday. The Merryville Panthers took a 58-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oberlin Tigers. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 61-51.

Merryville has also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-19-2 record this season. As for Oberlin, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-25-1 record.

Merryville will be playing in front of their home fans against Grand Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oberlin, they will head out to square off against Elton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
