Basketball Recap: Winston Academy Takes a Loss

Winston Academy saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 45-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lake Cormorant.

Winston Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lake Cormorant, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winston Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Leake Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 9, 2025. As for Lake Cormorant, they will take on Grenada at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
